It’s only Monday but we have already been very busy at the Editorial Board. I wrote this morning about elites again, this time how vulnerable they are to bad-faith arguments and why that’s stalling our pandemic recovery. Rod Graham wrote about this week’s fight over infrastructure, human and material, among House Democrats and why the progressives must stand firm if they’re going to achieve their goals. And Mia Brett wrote about the need to let in as many Afghan refugees as we can while avoiding the old American debates over “desirable” and “undesirable” immigrants.
