I can’t keep this to myself anymore
It's time to decide.
I’ve been keeping this to myself, but I think it’s better to be up front. Subscriptions to the Editorial Board have been falling for the last eight months or so. Not fast. But not slow. I’m not panicking, but I have a visual on the panic horizon.
There are many reasons, none definite. One thing is clear, though. Out of all the people who read the Editorial Board, only about 6 percent pay for it.
Six percent makes for a decent living, believe it or not. I can pay my writers on that. But my fear is going below that. That’s where things are heading if I don’t turn this thing around.
So I’m asking everyone who reads the Editorial Board for free — and that’s you — to pitch in.
Please subscribe for as little as $6 a month. Save 17 percent by subscribing for the year ($60). Or you can hit the tip jar with a nice big thank-you-very-much.
I appreciate every kind of support, even it’s reading and sharing what we offer. But there comes a time when a decision needs to be made. I hope you make the right one today.
Thank you! –JS
