I’m taking a day off, but I hope you’ll take a moment to read the Rev. Daniel Schultz’s piece, originally published in Religion Dispatches. It’s on faith and how Dems talk about faith, and how faith and how Dems talk about faith are often very different things.

If that sounds familiar, that might be because Pastor Dan was inspired after reading “Let’s Talk About How We Talk About Politics.” (Pastor Dan is a subscriber!) In that piece, I talked about politics being quite different from how we talk about politics, and how the difference between the two ends up changing our understanding of both.

As the good reverend writes:

Did Jesus ever talk about hogwash? Because this is hogwash.
